• destiny school of ministry 41Will I be able to get a job while attending Destiny? Yes. Students are actually encouraged to get a part-time job to provide personal finances. We will even assist you in trying to find employment that is flexible around school hours. You are welcome to send us a resume to assist us in placing you.

  • What days of the week do we meet? Classes are Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 AM - 2:15 PM. There are no Friday classes.

  • Do I need a passport? YES! You are required to have a passport for the mission trip. It would be best to have it before coming to the school.

  • Will I incur any extra expenses on the mission trip? No. The mission is all expenses paid and is included in tuition costs. The only extra expenses is for snacks and souvenirs.

  • Is there any provision for exercise or weight facilities? There are many local fitness centers with reasonable rates. However, there is a weight room and exercise area at the school that is provided free of charge to anyone.

  • What recreational activities are there to do in and near the school? Celina is located on Ohio's biggest inland lake. Boating and water skiing are local attractions. Celina is only 1 hour away from Ohio's largest downhill skiing resort. There are also recreational games at the school such as pool, ping-pong, air hockey, foosball, and other.

  • Is there a dress code for classes? Dress for class is modest, casual attire. Use discretion. Special occasions and church require dress attire, business casual minimum.

  • How close are the nearest large cities? Dayton, Cincinnati, Toledo, Columbus, Ft. Wayne, and Indianapolis are all under 2 hours away from Celina

  • What ministry opportunities will I have? Students will be encouraged to participate in many local outreach opportunities in the schools, community, and churches. The mission trip will also offer a very active ministry schedule for each student

  • What does a typical school day look like?

  • Where will I be living while I'm attending Destiny? Destiny School of Ministry will help arrange housing for each student. Housing will be available in homes of local church members who desire to provide room and board for students. Other types of independent living can be arranged with the Director of student affairs.

  • What is your grading scale? Grading will be done on the normal grading scale. Students will also be graded on their deportment.Deportment will be a major part of the grade since the school is interested in developing Christian character.

  • Tell me about the mission trip. Each class year, the students will take a mission trip. So far, the trips have been ministry and training in Peru, South America.  

  • Whats the meal schedule? Included in the school budget is lunch each day of class time. The purpose is to build camaraderie in the class and provide a forum for further discussions. Also, in the room and board costs, a light breakfast and a supper will be provided by the host family.

  • Wireless Internet? Yes, the classrooms have secure wireless internet available to the students.
