The History Of Destiny School Of Ministry Destiny School of Ministry was birthed out of the combined, long time visions of Bill Lewis and Gary King. Each had a vision for a school to train next generation leadership and prepare people for ministry. Their vision was for a school that was more preparatory spiritually, rather than just intellectually. The school was thus founded on three primary pillars: discipleship, discovery, and destiny.
When there were a number of prophetic words and confirmations coming to them, they decided, along with Peter Rehner and Jason King, to begin the process of starting a school. The preliminary work began in 2004 and the first class entered in the fall of 2005. The school was originally called 3-D Academy. The first year, the school was planned to be a one year training school, but with the amount of material and courses needed, it was decided to make it a two year school. At this point, the school affiliated with Christian Leadership University and Dr. Mark Virkler. The school became a licensee of CLU and the second year began. Following the third year of operation, the faculty and directors changed the name of the school to Destiny School of Ministry to better reflect what was happening in the educational process. Destiny is still based on the three d’s of destiny, discipleship, and discovery. Destiny begins its fourth year. To date, the school has graduated 12 with Bachelors’ of Biblical Studies and 26 with their Associates in Biblical Studies.
